We finally have an update on our excess dark fibre capacity between NextDC M1 and Equinix ME1

Thank you to everyone who has been waiting for us to expand our network after many rounds of design changes, ducting issues, cable selection, construction constraints etc we finally decided to build our own duct path on the north side of Lorimer street in Port Melbourne diverse from every other carrier.

Construction is almost complete which I am super excited about, for all those interested you can see construction photos on our blog site http://melbournedarkfibre.com we have also kept the price the same $150 per fibre (purchased in pairs)

Dear AusNOG

We are expanding our dark fibre network and as such will have a large abundance of excess dark fibre service capacity between NextDC M1 and the currently being constructed Equinix ME1 facility.

The end result is any AusNOG network operators who wants cost effective dark fibre services between these facilities we can provide a service for less than a few cases of premium beer per month ($150 per fibre per month) with no setup charges.

For those interested the service will be delivered via Single Mode OS1 fibre which supports native 1gbit, 10gbit, 40gbit or 100gbit services including CWDM and DWDM services.

If you're interested in securing some dark fibre capacity between these facilities please contact me directly  ASAP as the excess capacity is going to be very popular at this price and once it's gone its' gone!
