Yeah we?re seeing Telstra sims down all over the country at the moment, both retail and our MVNO ones.

Wifi calling also not registering here, either

I saw a whole bunch of my devices drop offline from about 5:45 onwards.
Calls were working (somewhat) at 6:10 buy all our telstra mobiles showing 
SOS only since then.
Jumped in the car, turned on starlink and was able to get wifi calling.
Could call a guy on his optus number but not telstra (same phone).
Still can't send SMS to most numbers.

(Southern NSW/Northern Vic, my directly affected services mostly within 
100km of here)

The discussion I was having today with some colleagues was around the week rollover of GPS ? 1024 weeks = 19.6 years ? exactly where the time went back to (2006).
Unpatched NTP master perhaps?
Will be interesting to see the RCA if one is ever published.

In response to feedback from operational security communities,
CAIDA's source address validation measurement project
(https://spoofer.caida.org) is automatically generating monthly
reports of ASes originating prefixes in BGP for systems from which
we received packets with a spoofed source address.
We are publishing these reports to network and security operations
lists in order to ensure this information reaches operational
contacts in these ASes.

This report summarises tests conducted within aus.

Yeah but the absolute rollover time is largely irrelevant.
Consider 2 digit date systems, if I was manufactured in 2025, I would assume a clock year of 25 to 99 is 2025-2099, and 00 to 24 is 2100 to 2124, as it's impossible for it to be before the manufacturing/firmware date.

Same with the week count here. If the firmware on the clock was from 2016 or before, it would assume the current week number is in 2016 and not 2026.

I'm not seeing NTP mentioned in any of the media articles. Are we just
assuming NTP because they said "time service"?

There are other time sync protocols.

The Cyber Incident Review Board (CIRB) of the Department of Home
Affairs is chaired by Ms Narelle Devine who is also the Global Chief
Information Security Officer at Telstra as per
