It's also the case that some VPS providers are as stingy with their ipv6 assignments as
with ipv4. I don't remember who now, but one popular US provider assigned a single
ipv4/ipv6 address to each VPS with additional addresses costing real bucks.

Yes, I know, absurd. But I presume they force-fitted ipv6 into their ipv4 deployment
processes as a least-cost path to ticking the ipv6 box.
