Testing with curl -v, and watching via Wireshark, shows it connects and establishes the TLSv1.3 connection and then stops responding. Is anyone else seeing the same issue? I don?t know if it extends to other googleapis.com services, this one is just enough to make a huge amount of the ?Internet slow?. If you?re looking for people to support who do not support the stacking of the EC your best option in this election will be to vote for the Regional NIR representatives from Taiwan (TWNIC), India (IRINN), Japan (JPNIC) and China (CNNIC) as they all oppose these bad actors and already control a large number of votes due to their APNIC member status, making them the most likely candidates to support and carry the proposed by-law variations into reality. Other ideas like putting up our own candidate in this election are only going to dilute the value of your votes possibly allowing bad actors to win seats. So when voting opens ? on top of submitting Karls template to the EC via the APNIC portal ? please go and vote AND look for the above candidates rather than just blindly stabbing at the keyboard because you don?t know anyone on the list. Warm Regards Nick Pratley 0448 379 418 ________________________________ From: AusNOG on behalf of Karl Kloppenborg Sent: Tuesday, February 14, 2023 7:13:37 PM To: ausnog at lists.ausnog.net Cc: nznog at list.waikato.ac.nz Subject: [AusNOG] An urgent call to action - Do your part and protect APNIC Everyone, As many are aware, EC Elections are upon us, but few are aware of the dangers currently ahead. Some of the nominees are attempting to board stack and gain control of the EC. I implore you to read my attached document and do your part by contacting the EC with the provided template. By-laws require a very large voter base to enact, but it is possible. Australia and NZ have some of the largest voter block in the APNIC and enough to trigger a by-law change. I cannot stress this enough; the danger is very real ? at the time of sending this email at least five candidates are either directly endorsed by NRS or the company LARUS. You can review this yourself here: https://2023.apricot.net/elections/nominations/ Do your part, pass this email, send this template to APNIC members you know and let's garnish the votes necessary to protect our internet and our APNIC. Thank you, Karl Kloppenborg. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
