[AusNOG] Vultr/Choopa Routing domestic and international

Hello All,

The issue is resolved. Another Nogger found that the problem was that the servers were preferencing IPv6 to connect to mirrorlist.centos.org and the GeoIP information was showing the IPs were in Japan, hence the mirrorlist sending traffic to Japan and China.

Thanks,

CH.

Subject: [AusNOG] Vultr/Choopa Routing domestic and international

Hello All,

I am having some issues with traffic originating from services within Choopa's Sydney network destined for Linux mirrors being routed internationally via NTT (sometimes to the UK, others to Singapore) when there are at least 10 mirrors locally. Also seeing same issues for EPEL being sent to Japan. If there are any Sydney-based NetOps people on-list, could they please contact me off-list to help troubleshoot routing?

Thanks,

CH.
