FTTC is VDSL to the DPU but the customer gets an Ethernet hand-off.

Subject: [AusNOG] FTTC
Hey all,
FTTC... what actually is it? VDSL?
Can it support multiple services?
What sort of speeds can be attained on the NBN FTTC?
I understand that many Optus Cable people are being converted over to FTTC although it isn't entirely clear how this works.
Any ideas?
Thanks
...Skeeve
