What part of the install is disgraceful to you? It is a pit install, it is never going to be "pretty".

The best pics are deeper in the thread, of the Netcomm unit that takes the NBN fibre <https://thesizzle.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=62528f73daee6def1defe44e0&id=1c0c575583&e=a11daa10d7> and splits it out to the existing copper connections that go to the homes, sitting in the pit <https://thesizzle.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=62528f73daee6def1defe44e0&id=d6a2e8514a&e=a11daa10d7>. Apparently the fibre to copper units support G.Fast, but only offer VDSL2 for now. For those in an FTTC area, the box you get in your home that you connect your router to, looks like this <https://thesizzle.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=62528f73daee6def1defe44e0&id=feeff27226&e=a11daa10d7>, and provides power to that box in the street pit. Thanks to cwd, who posted this in The Sizzle's Slack channel afternoon!"
