[AusNOG] VDSL2 modems

I was going to suggest the 130 unfortunately! It seems that it’s the new TD-8810. I’m afraid all I can really say is, give it time. VDSL is still a relatively “new” technology to Australia, but I think once it really takes hold, begrudgingly, the industry will start to shift towards compatibility with said technology.
It might be worth asking DrayTek and/or their supplier directly. I’m pulling this out of my behind, granted, but my guess is that more of these modems will be on the way as demand increases. If you can, just give it time, and see if you can get onto suppliers about it. They have a decent presence on Whirlpool.
Just my 2c, feel free to take it for what it’s worth.
Cheers,
Rory
Kind regards,
Rory

Would like to know as well. Were also going down this path for some of our NBN deployments.
Cheers

Hi All,
We’ve been exclusively using Draytek Vigor 130’s for our NBN deployments (as dumb modems) for ages now… but… it appears that all our suppliers our out of stock because everyone else is doing the same thing.
Anyone else got a reliable VDSL2 modem with RFC1483/2684 bridge mode and PPPoE pass-through support and VLAN tag insertion? (I want it all guys) :)
Cheers,
Ben
