Hi Chris,

Firstly, ICANN don't look after the .au namespace, auDA do.

Considering there are many registrars out there that do free DNS hosting with domain registration (e.g. VentraIP) and the markup on a .net.au at a provider like that is a dollar or there abouts, someone like that would be your best bet :)
