Good morning Tom,

While we openly support other associations within our industry, the email below is a bit rich. Surely you have a mailing list of the IAA membership through which you could promote an IAA member-only promotion. There are thousands of people on the AusNOG list, most of whom would not be IAA members, so your email is unsolicited and irrelevant to them (i.e. SPAM).

If you guys wish to cross-promote something like an event that would be of interest to the AusNOG list membership then we'd be happy to support that. But please do not send emails like the one below to this list.

Thanks

David - on behalf of the AusNOG board

Hi AusNOG-ers!

Recently as many of you will know, WAIA (The Western Australian Internet Association) undertook a name change to better represent our focus and what we do for the industry, renaming to “Internet Association of Australia” (or IAA).

I wanted to reach out to our members here on AusNOG and let you know 4Cabling.com.au<http://4Cabling.com.au> are running a special for all of our members – a significant discount off everything ordered online. If you didn’t get our mail out with your code (i.e. it went to your accounts department) please feel free to reach out to me and I will get your code. The offer is for all our members.

(Tom Berryman as President of the Internet Association of Australia)
