Hi,
PSTN still exists for 18 months at each node site. If you have a lot of devices on the one line and cannot make the move to VOIP all at once, then Voice Continuity is a viable option – keep your PSTN active for a period.

They'll plug their fax machine into the back of their modem (or their ATA, if they're not using a VOIP-compatible modem), and it'll now go over VOIP? Or they'll probably find it simpler to sign up to a email2fax service, and reconfigure their fax machine..
When the customer is moved to FTTN, that's *where* their phone line now goes, the line is redirected from the exchange/rim to the node, at the pillar.. :. PSTN as such no longer exists..

Hello Ausnoggers,
I have a customer who is about to get NBN Fibre to the Node, and they are asking if they can use their existing ADSL2+ line filters for the fax machine, or if they need to purchase specific VDSL2 line filters for their existing PSTN devices?
Can anyone advise?
Thanks in advance
James
