[AusNOG] Virtual routers (Specifically the CSR1000V) and ESXi NIC redundancy

Hi All,

Does anyone have much experience with how the CSR1000V interacts with ESXi in a multi-NIC configuration? There is a significant amount of conflicting information on what is possible/not possible. The Cisco release notes that suggest NIC teaming and load balancing are supported are directly contradicted by Cisco implementation guides that say NIC teaming and redundancy using ESXi will cause ARP issues and excessive CPU load.

Any input/experience/thoughts would be appreciated.
