[AusNOG] ATTENTION: Ransom request!!!

I believe these are a real threat, albeit from a lazy attacker. We’ve experienced large attacks accompanying identical threat emails from the group. They rarely ever follow up after the deadline comes, or follow up with a 48 hours time extension, then give up. Has anyone experienced anything more than the initial 15 minute “warning attack”?
