I've had a bad weekend, and a crappy start to the day, so this might be
considered "lashing out" or "irrational anger"....
but how the hell do we expect anyone to take us seriously as an industry,
saying we don't tollerate spammers, or spamming, and that we try to do
what we can to prevent it...
when we get some lowlife scum from (allegedly) within our own industry who
partake of it??
Just received spam claiming to be from
Steve Brady
Director
Internet Now Pty Ltd
It's come through to an address which I monitor, but which is not, and
never has been, in an industry that would have asked for or given
permission to receive mail from this company or for the products they're
offerin.
It is therefore unsolicited, it is clearly COMMERCIAL mail, and that makes
it UCE - AKA SPAM. From an Australian source, with NO prior "business
relationship".
Headers certainly indicate domestic origin.

Anyone else got it?
Anyone got any ideas what we (as an industry) can do to weed out some of
it? I mean, I can understand spam for viagra etc, and from international
sources who don't know (or care) about our laws, but those in our own
industry doing it?? C'mon.....
R.
