As reported in todays issue of Commsday:
While we struggle in Australia for 100mb NBN, Singapore releases 10Gb
residential broadband.
----
*SINGTEL LAUNCHES 10GBPS RESIDENTIAL BROADBAND *
Singtel has unveiled a 10Gbps broadband service for residential users,
which it plans to launch this month. The service leverages a next
generation 10GPON platform and is the first of its kind in the Singapore
market.
The service is delivered over a fibre connection into the home, but
features a router that is also equipped with four 1Gbps ports to connect
addition devices.
The service is being offered as part of a S$189/month bundle that includes
a 10G optical network router, a wireless dual-band AC router, installation
services, a 4G mobile broadband 500MB platform, and for a limited period, a
pair of Wi-Fi Mesh devices worth S$240.
The offer comes with a minimum 2-year contract period.
----
This is a typical internet plan in Singapore -

SG$50 unlimited broadband on 1Gb fibre.
SG$50 = AU$50 (almost 1:1) at the moment.
