To be fair, your original e-mail didn’t indicate what you considered a ‘decent’ connection, nor the required timeframe. Given the limited information, I thought John’s suggestions were quite reasonable.
Perhaps if you can clarify the required timeframe we might be able to come up with some alternatives. That said, with the impending break of Basslink for repairs, the availability of ‘decent’ (as in usable full tilt for many hours on end) internet connections might be more limited than it usually is.

Thanks for that John, not what I am looking for.
Darren.

The NBN coverage map now shows all of Hobart CBD covered by fixed NBN.
ie: you could find someone to signup a 100/40 connection today and rsync a TB to the cloud by Sunday.
Or you could just express post a USB disk today.

Surely a USB hard drive and a trip on Spirit of Tasmania or a plane would be cheaper (and potentially faster)?

Afternoon Noggers,
We have a bunch of (off-line) data sitting in Hobart that needs to be uploaded to one of our systems in Melbourne.
Any chance someone has a decent internet connection in Hobart to assist with uploading about 1TB of data ?
Replies off list please.
Thank you
Darren.
