[AusNOG] Sharing AWS Direct Connects

Hi JasonDoes sharing one with 45 accounts count?
Basically each vpc gets its own vlan and bgp session. So if you have multiple vpc in one account you'll also have multiple vlans and bgp sessions. if you have multiple accounts each with a single vpc then the same applies.
The most difficult part is setting up the bgp on your end but given the list we're on i don't imagine this would be an issue. Aws provide some pretty good configuration files for the major players gear customised to your link.
Hope this helps.
CheersMatthew

Hi All,

Excuse the lack of AWS wizardry - was wondering if anyone has any experience sharing an AWS direct connect between multiple AWS accounts, I’ve found the following forum post here:
https://forums.aws.amazon.com/thread.jspa?threadID=129404

This looks like setting up another BGP peering session etc with the second account and passing a second vlan along the existing connection – is this the only way to go?  Any recommendations welcome.

Cheers,

Jason
