The present South China Sea shenanigans must affect the timing of this repair….

The speed at which it gets fixed probably is related to whether it’s in international waters or not.
1125km from Singapore makes me suspect so.

FWIW it seems you’re right on that one Tushar:

“AARNet's upstream supplier has confirmed that the cause of the outage is due to a cable cut approximately 1,125 Km from Singapore. The cause is still currently being investigated. Updates will be provided as they become available.”

Yeah,
Came up and went down again at 937 gmt. Reported by voda.

Telstra confirmed fault.

Cut is more than a 1000kms away from port apparently. Don't quote me on this last one.

Hi,

Anyone know what happened to Sea-Me-We 3 submarine cable between Perth and Singapore? There seems to be a fault on it reported by Vocus. Some Sharky had a bite?

Cheers
Dino
