StartSSL offer free 3 year certificates for personal and business use at the moment (though you have to scan and upload documents to get business certs).

Hey Sam,

What are you after?

If you want outstanding customer service and a provider that gives a toss, along with a well-respected name and reasonable pricing, take a look at Digicert.

If you want basic SSL protection that doesn’t have to be EV or otherwise, Lets Encrypt is a good solution (especially on the value-for-money scale).
