[AusNOG] Cisco LNS - dataplane errors

Hi All,

Cisco 7204-G2, running as an LNS.

Has anyone ever come across this error:

.Aug 10 01:58:39: VPDN uid:2171 Error setting up dataplane; set app req

Basically the router accepts sessions up to what seems a certain
subscriber count then once that number is online starts generating these
errors.

At best guess it is a full, finite resource. The number of allowed
subscribers is slowly reducing, what I don't know is if this is due to
bad garbage collection so to speak (i.e. 'stuck' sessions in the
dataplane, that dont show in 'show users') or if the dataplane itself is
actually dying/dead. If we kick a user offline or clear tunnels cleanly
- users will re-connect back up to that number of subscribers (first in
best dressed), which is what sparked this line of thinking.

Anyone who has experienced similar or knows this a bit more in-depth,
your help would be appreciated, as its got me scratching my head so far.

Thanks,
Joe
