As usual, the standard answer is “ask your Telstra sales rep”.

Having said that, from http://insight.telstra.com.au/t5/Knowledge-Articles/Telstra-Internet-Direct-TID/ta-p/1383:

“Please note: BGP is not available on Modem or ADSL services connected to Telstra Internet Direct.”

A quick ask-around folks from a network onboarding team has also confirmed that.

Afternoon all,

Does anyone know if Telstra can offer BGP service on a TID connection that we have, delivered over ADSL2?

I've found the below article that says no, however wondering if it's changed as the page still says a full table only has 200k routes and talking about 64kbps circuits - my guess is it's fairly old :)

I've emailed bgp at telstra.net<mailto:bgp at telstra.net> - but just wondering if anyone has had any success with this in the past.
