[AusNOG] Ethernet service @ Ethell Rd, Kirrawee, NSW

Hi Guys,

Not expecting much, but just throwing this out there as a last resort. We're looking for a 10 Mbps Ethernet service for a customer. Address is at Ethell Rd, Kirrawee, NSW.

We've got 4 copper pairs available but can only get 5~ Mbps out of it due to the distance, the sync on EOC is just not high enough. Right now, I'm looking at just doing bonded DSL but wanted to see if there's any options I don't know about. Particularly something that might be able to gain better sync speeds over the 4 lines we can use.

Would be looking for someone who we can strike up a wholesale relationship with if they can allow us to offer something different.

Situation is:


*         Telstra fibre is too expensive.

*         Optus fibre is a no-go (even though they have fibre near-by they won't do the build. And probably still expensive.

*         AAPT EOC is the right price point, but we haven't been able to get the copper pairs we need. All new pairs are on a RIM.

*         Can't get TPG EFMs on these lines, but the sync speeds I imagine would be just as poor anyway.

*         Nobody else seems to have fibre in the area from what I can tell.

About the only thing I haven't tried at this point (I think) is some kind of microwave wireless.
