I would have thought that would have been obvious with MTM/FTTN?

Where every cabinet they need to install for a 'node', not necessarily every house that will be serviced by that node will have it's copper running directly past it - thus new copper needs to be laid between the node and the premesis, or at least to the closest junction (ew).

Not sure how true this is....

I suppose replacing 1 pair of  copper might be okay, but at what point it is cheaper to go fibre.
