Your memory is correct. They were being paid 800ml before to decommission
and bin the HFC network. The renegotiated deal was 800ml which included the
HFC assets at no additional cost.

I don't understand the media blow up over this.

   1. Replacement of all CMTSs was a given under the HFC plan and the deal
   for that was already signed with Arris some time ago.
   2. Node splitting was a given also.
