+1 to that!

Personally I hope this does move forward and that iiNET customers do see the drop in customer service quality they are expecting, in turn a minority will jump shit and move to other providers which is good for the rest of us.

For the Wholesale industry, I don't see how it's going to change anything, AAPT/TPG/PIPE already now offer a more reliable, competitive and supported product suite than Telstra/Optus and some of the others, I can't see this changing because of anther acquisition.

All i hear is unfounded winging....

Kindest Regards,

And here's a few excepts from http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-06-11/accc-raises-issues-with-tpg-iinet-takeover/6538730:

The ACCC wants more information on the $1.56 billion deal to determine what effect it will have, not only on competition, but on customer service levels as well.

In its initial response to the proposal, the ACCC said it has received submissions from consumers who fear that service at iiNet will decline as a result.

"The key argument in terms of quality is that, firstly, will TPG keep the iiNet brand and customer experience in the marketplace and, secondly, if they don't, will somebody else just fill that gap, we need to weigh all of that," ACCC chairman Rod Sims told ABC News.

The ACCC's statement of issues said the acquisition is "unlikely" to raise competition concerns in other markets, including in relation to the supply of wholesale transmission, mobile broadband or voice services.

Regards,
-Brad.
