Hi Shane,
It's a long time since I had to do this (circa 2000-2001). I was
shipping custom built PCs and plasma screens of varying sizes to the US.
Don't ask why we were sending Japanese screens (probably manufactured
elsewhere) via AU to the US! We used Nippon Express - I don't recall us
having any issues, aside from those imposed by the US government
post-9/11 (which is why I remember the dates) that added a few weeks of
delay to any delivery by anybody. This was from Sydney - not sure how
this would work for WA despatch.
I've never had to despatch pallet-loads of anything before (nor since).
I learned the meaning of a lot of non-IT terms, like FOB and "do you
have a Chep account?".
