Basically something simple as:
* Subscribe customer emails to specific services
* Send template emails where operations staff can simply choose services and impact

I stumbled on http://www.system-status-dashboard.com/ while looking
around for similar things. But I echo the lack of decent comm's tools.
I guess the real question is do you just want mass communication
(twitter, mailman, status pages etc), or do you want a service
specific tool. I find its much harder to find a comms tool linked to a
CMDB so you can say "hey link X is going down, these clients need to
know".

Hi,

I am currently looking into better options for customer notifications. Been
searching but to my surprise haven’t found anything that I would consider
decent so far. What tools are you using to notify your customers of
outages/incidents to a given service?

Cheers,
Wolfgang
