Hi Jamie,

I am checking upstream to see if I can get that model of equipment – it’s not something we keep stocked but we can supply most enterprise Huawei equipment. We can discuss off-list if you’d like more info.

Thanks,

Subject: [AusNOG] VDSL2 DSLAM's

Hi,

Another question to the brains trust of ausnog.

What is currently the best option for an in-building VDSL set-up.

I've heard the Huawei MA5616 is a good option (http://enterprise.huawei.com/en/products/network/access-network/mdu/en_ma5616.htm), but wondered what everyone thinks.

Using the Huawei example, I'd need something equivalent to:

- CCUB Control Board
- 2 x GE Interface Network Side
- 2 x 16-channel VDSL2 board (30a, over POTS, built-in SPL) User side.

One 16 channel will probably do to start.

Options for good compatible CPE options would be appreciated as well.

Of course the other question would he who's a good supplier for said gear.

Thanks!

Jamie
