That’s what I am doing right now.

Living on the Sunshine Coast while working remotely in Brisbane / Sydney / Melbourne / Wherever. 

Comes down to max 1 - 1.5 days a week being on the road usually hitting Brisbane CBD to attend some meetings with clients.

Works quite well and I do not miss the daily 3h+ commute!

I am more than happy to either work from home, Or work from the datacentre for any business/company who is interstate that may have an operation in place in Melbourne, I also wouldn’t charge an arm and 4 legs, as im still a “youngin” as they call it :D

I'm using the above email to ask a question,
but it's not directed at any person, rather
at the group of folks that posted looking for
network engineers.

Why not consider telecommuters?  Once looking
locally has not found anyone that can fill the
position why not look at folks from other
countries?
