But that’s why they say measure 3 times… Cut.. or in our case Drill once.. with no room for error i.e. don’t stuff it up!

Building a new network within a sea of live cables admittedly is scary, lucky we have contracted a team of professionals who are extremely well trained and educated in building around live assets.

We finish all civil construction on Thursday next week and splicing is occurring on Monday the 16th of February so we are very close now to completion and having people shine light down our cable!

We had fun today scanning the ground outside M1, a sea of fibre hidden under the ground, check out the diagram from today on our blog if you’re interested.

Hi All,

Due to unexpected Megaport delays, I have been left in a corner which I need to get out of quickly.

I need a temporary circuit between one of these locations for 2-3 months, happy to sign for 6 if I can get it quickly.

- Equinix ME1 to NextDC M1
- Equinix ME1 to 55 Crockford Street
- Equinix ME1 to Equinix SY1/2 or 3
- Equinix ME1 to Global Switch Ultimo

I need capacity for 100Mbit-150Mbit depending on price, the goal is to get the VLAN back to Sydney.  GRE tunnels etc are not an option as I need a full 1500 Byte MTU at minimum.

Had planned on a Micron21 pair to NextDC M1 but it is still a few weeks away at present and connectivity to ME1 is still a little difficult at the moment
