[AusNOG] Cisco SFP-GE-Z in Melbourne

Hi all,

I'd like to get my hands on a couple of Cisco SFP-GE-Z  (1550nm fibre SFP -
1gbps) in Melbourne this afternoon for an install tomorrow morning.

Normally we'd have stock or order as required but a carrier has decided to
deliver a fibre service directly from "exchange" and use 1550 optics for
the longer distance, instead of delivering from their rack within the same
DC (which is what we were expecting). We've got handfuls of the 1310nm
optics, but none of the 1550 ones. We also have plenty of spare 10G 1550
optics, but not helpful in this case where it's only 1G service.

It's going into Cisco gear, so needs to be some kind of "compatible" with
whatever Cisco do these days to try and make you purchase their overpriced
optics. We use third party programmed ones all the time, but I feel
compelled to put this requirement in as I don't know that just any SFP
would work.

Google isn't helping me much and I'm not in Melb, so don't have the local
knowledge of places that might stock stuff there.

Needs to be somewhere in Melb that I can get one of our guys to go and pick
up from today. I can ship overnight myself, but don't want to rely on
shipping stuff at this time of year.
