We have a USD bank account with CBA Business Banking. Does exactly what you want, bit quirky as the Swift intermediary changes often but really useful to have as we buy most in USD.

Cheers

Subject: [AusNOG] Transacting in USD

Hi all,

A lot of people here would be doing business in US, NZ, Asia, etc... Carriers, connectivity, hosting, equipment, end-customers overseas, etc.

Does anyone know how to get a bank account - preferably with an AU bank, that you can be paid in USD, and then pay out (locally or overseas) in USD... so as to avoid the converting it to local currency and then losing on any delays and market fluctuations.

If you have any advice, I'd love to know...

Thanks ausnog brain-trust. :-)
