Hi All,

Just chasing some advice or experiences really.. what is the general practice when it comes to the failure of equipment on the providers side of the network boundary, specifically with the NBN or other NBN-type suppliers?

I've heard anecdotal evidence of carriers charging people exorbitant amounts to replace ONT's and the like and was wondering if it is common practice? In some cases the device fault has only affected one part of the service delivery (eg, RF overlay not data or vice-versa).

I've also heard people told that they own the ONT and thus its up to them to pay to replace it.

Keen to hear your thoughts.

Regards,

Paul.
