Hey Guys,

I had some issues with a Watchguard 550E last night overheating (99c) before i killed the power.

The issue started after i linked our Melbourne and UK office together using the IPSEC Branch Office capabilities

Now i saw the load and traffic spiked to 100% and as a result the temperature would start to climb. As soon as the branch office connection was dropped the traffic went to 0 and CPU temperature started to come back down and normalise at 37c

I have my house connecting me to my office using the same hardware (later models) with no issue

Anyone heard or seen of this. Carnt contact watchguard as units are out of warranty and i have no need to renew them for the branch office

Matt
