+1 for crash plan. Have used them ever since they popped up in AU. Been a savour on more then one occasion with accidental deletion of files!!!

They have a POP in Sydney so it's fast enough assuming you have suitable upload capacity. You can also pre-seed the backups with a usb drive for a bit extra when you sign up to save on upload / time.
The downside is it's not exactly enterprise grade backups, the price is right though.
