Interesting. Further investigation showed even delegations were failing to update from some registrars to our own DNS. Very odd behavior, intermittently broken DNS lookups.

Easyclouddns are Melbourne IT's name servers FYI.

E.g

was: remote.example.com<http://remote.example.com> -> A record -> 8.8.8.8

Something broke today and

remote.example.com<http://remote.example.com> became a new zone (which we couldn't access via the netregistry admin page) and started returning different results as to what was configured in the web-ui.

Easier just to bring it in house than deal with netregistry.

Seems like they did some upgrades or some batch script went crazy.

We’ve seen some issues with a few domains on there too earlier today. Moved DNS away from them for most, but last I heard from my guys there was still problems this afternoon with ones that have been left on there.
