I was doing Novell Bordermanager with a 28K gateway, was lots of fun getting the Netware IP stack going on top of IPX....

Made things much easier when Netware 5 and native TCP/IP came along...

I didn't start till Windows for Workgroups 3.11

That was my first OS ever.
