[AusNOG] Can you get Static IP's on Telstra Cable?

Again the same here.  I do seem to recall the purchase of a new router
causing an IP change (I use bridge mode on the cable modem).  I have also
had IP changes after a couple of scheduled outages (new equipment is
installed?).  I think in a few years I have had about 5 IP addresses
myself, but my DNS TTL is pretty small and I just update it when I am home
next.  I don't even use a dynamic DNS service...so yeah.  Not very dynamic,
but if you are running a service that needs to be HA, you might want to
look elsewhere.

Plus the upload speed is CRAP.  2Mb.  I can upload faster on my mobile
phone than using my "Ultimate" cable service.  100/2 - Pull the other one,
Telstra.
