[AusNOG] Process for installing new kit in existing racks in .au data centres?

I just organised some kit to be sent to an Equinix DC today and they did not ask for any serial numbers. So it looks like AU Equinix are more relaxed.

We do have to give power requirements and serial number to some of our non Equinix DCs.

Kind regards

Equinix IBXs in the US want asset numbers or serial numbers of installed kit. Their security folks also require an authorized person to cite the asset number or serial number of each item that is removed from the facility.

I can't remember if they work the same way in Australia.
