[AusNOG] Kaseya Help on Mac

Hi Skeeve,

I've run several Kaseya servers for a number of years and IE (enter axis of evil remark) has nearly always been the only reliable way to use all functions.
Unfortunately being up to date with the latest patches is not always the perfect method to keep other browsers working. Small updates would often break various functions. Just one of the reasons we no longer use Kaseya.

If you can, I would recommend using the direct Remote functions , rather than using LiveConnect. Otherwise, try a VM and IE :)

Good luck.

Subject: [AusNOG] Kaseya Help on Mac

Hey all,

I assume quite a few people use Kaseya.... It seems to be a popular solution.

I have a client using it for the management of their servers. I am a mac user and apparently I need the Live Connect app or something to be able to use it, but after hours of googling, I am having no luck understanding how they do what they do.

I am just wanting to use the remote control features, preferably inside Chrome, but I'm told on the screen that Chrome or Firefox are not supported.

In googling, I can see that Maverick and Chrome are supported, but I am stuffed if I can figure out how to download the .dmg for the client (which I've found referred to a lot) or the extension for Chrome.

Anyone been through this for a quick pointer?
