ok so what would be my best option then?

Here's what I'm trying to do:

- All Aussie visitors to my web app need to get redirected (probably using htaccess) to a different sign up page than all other countries.

e.g.
AU IP detected: http://mywebapp.com/signup  -> redirects to http://mywebapp.com/signup-au

Any other IP: http://mywebapp.com/signup  -> redirects to http://mywebapp.com/signup-rest-of-world

Big bonus points to anyone who can give me a sample of such a .htaccess setup...

You can’t expect all IP’s in use in a country are sourced from the RIR (Apnic), the only accurate way to get the list is a domestic BGP feed.

Subject: [AusNOG] Authoritative list of Australian IP Blocks

Hi Noggers,

I'm sure someone will have this off the top of their heads. I'm after an authoritative list of Australian IP blocks. Not MaxMind or one of the other sellers of geo data but something more "official" and up-to-date like from APNIC or similar.
