[AusNOG] SNMP Monitoring

It's only as complicated as you want to make it ;)

For my own personal install, it's two 48-port gig switches and one
cloudcore router.

cd /opt/observium
./add_device.php switch1.host.name
./add_device.php switch2.host.name
./add_device.php router.host.name

./discovery.php -h new
./poller.php

And make sure the cronjobs are running. Voila you have monitoring.

If you want to embed graphs into website pages, there's two ways to do it..

1) add $config['allow_unaugh_graphs' = 1; to config.php You can then
embed graphs in pages. However that means someone can take those graph
URL's and play with them to view ANY graph.

2) Do the same, but use that URL in a PHP file on your website, going
'<?=file_get_contents('http://url')?> to pass through the graph image :)

We rode on the winds of the rising storm,
We ran to the sounds of thunder.
We danced among the lightning bolts,
 and tore the world asunder
