Hi Andrew

No worries at all.

We have a load of information about the attack on both of our websites. Went into as much detail as we both could since we know there is quite a bit of interest in these types of things in the network industry.

They can even deliver the DDoS protection to any of your other PoP’s around Australia over Megaport. This is how we have our DDoS protection delivered to our Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane locations and very soon our Perth location as well.

John thank you for your suggestion.

I have talked with Micron21 previously and they were very knowledgeable I’ll reach out to them for our Melbourne requirements.

What type of DDOS attack was it do you have any more information?

Andrew

Hi Andrew

For IP transit in Melbourne, definitely contact the guys at Micron21… James responded on here today about his DDoS protection that he’s able to provide both domestically & internationally and they’re also on Megaport as well.

Just this week they successfully soaked & scrubbed a 34.11Gbit attack on our network which really has made having their DDOS protection well worth having!

The guys are always happy to sit down and take the time to have a chat with you and see what you need and setup what you’re looking for. The guys are definitely switched on.

I am after a backup IP transit provider in Sydney and in Melbourne for IP transit delivered over Megaport VCX.

I would want my Melbourne provider to be diverse from my Sydney provider to create some form of redundancy between Melbourne and Sydney, I’ll also require a full routing table.

My question is who is using IP transit over Megaport and who can you recommend, or not recommend ?

Bonus ports for recommending a provider who can provide 95% percentile billing, because this is a backup service I would be looking to commit to as little as possible with a large as possible burst.

Happy to also provide IP transit from Optus as part of an exchange if required,

Andrew
