[AusNOG] SME or Small ISP with 2gig of customer traffic

Hey Skeeve,
We have a 3 drop ring with Southern Cross Cable Network, AU-NZ, NZ-US, US-AU. We recently added 1.2gig capacity for our NZ based customers and in doing so you have to upgrade all 3 legs.
As we are a mostly a NZ based provider that has very little market share in Australia (this is growing) we have all this spare capacity on the US-AU leg.
While iperf tests, DDoS tests and swinging traffic to the long path (for NZ based clients) is a good test of the capacity, it would be good to test it with sustained throughput of normal customer traffic.
Back here in NZ, we have a number of clients that are low cost, low margin residential providers that at times flat line international capacity. When we upgrade capacity we simply open them up to test our upgrades.
My offer to the list was for a similar case (and someone to test with in the future), any provider that’s running their links hot and would like to test their own network capabilities can go hard with the 2gig I am offering :)
Not really interested in 90th percentile but Ondemand/Emergency is fine if planned (if a big carrier goes down then everyone would need it the same time), burstable is fine and outbound is fine.
Seeing as you work with quite a few providers, perhaps you know of one that would have a need to stress test their network with an additional 2gig of traffic? :)
Cheers

2.5Gb of spare traffic, able to be supplied via Megaport... seems like a perfect scenario to try out a bunch of creative ways to sell it.
Where is your capacity from/to (I notice you are in NZ). Will it go from NZ? ie. Megaport(AU)-->NZ-->International? or AU->US?
Do you have any direct peering in where it lands?
You should consider playing with some offerings.. asymmetric, emergency capacity, OnDemand, burstable, 90th percentile :)
Just avoid the abusers.

Wondering if there is anyone on the list that has a Megaport in NSW and has about 2gig of US based traffic they use?
If you do and you’d like some free transit for a week or two give me a msg off list.
I just want to load test our circuit as we have 2.4gb spare capacity doing nothing so need someone to use it for a bit :)
Reply off list if you are interested.
Cheers
