I've got a bunch of these units installed in various places throughout North-West WA.
They work quite well (better if coupled with the optional Yagi) and are especially useful for getting signal through the metal walls of a donga office. :-)
We used the Telstra Installers for most of these sites due to the antennas. All the techs did a top-notch job, though I believe a self-install option is also available if you're a little more savvy.
Regards,
-Brad.

Subject: [AusNOG] Telstra Smart Antenna
Hey,
Has anyone else here used a Telstra Smart Antenna?

We have crap coverage at our new place and Telstra acknowledges it. Apparently it supports 5 users... but I'm not clear how I can say that 'we' and not our neighbours are those 5 users.
They are reasonably priced - if they work. They don't support 4G it seems, but I'm just learning about these devices.
They seem to be very different to the Optus/Vodafone units which provide quality over broadband.
