[AusNOG] DC undervoltage issues

A couple of things:

Good datacentre operators are already wearing the diesel costs with regular scheduled full load testing anyway, so if you can align it with an electricity producer it's win win.

There are already smart grid operators in Australia. If you have to ask about them, you're probably not a candidate for their automated load shedding systems. Or you're in a brown coal state where power is too cheap :)

Size isn't everything. If a generator is looking to avoid starting up a turbine in peak, they may only need to shed 1-2MW. Shedding a Bevan-sized 22MW may defeat the purpose and drive the price up anyway!
