I've been reliably informed by those at the top that the C1 vending machine
will arrive in Canberra later this week, as will the S1 and M1 machines.
Should be sorted soon :)

SFP
We were told by the guys in S1 a couple of weeks ago that it was coming to
S1 "very soon" as it had been perfected and in use at P1. The same also
applies to having snack vending charged to your IDAC instead of having to
have a piggy bank stored in your rack for refreshments because, let's face
it, who carries coins around with them these days?
But hey, we've all managed to go without vending machines in data centres
for all these years, I'm sure we can live a little while longer. ;)

The vending machine project has stalled because of the changes in
encryption and legislation around handling payments which is beyond the
control of NextDC.

What is frustrating is that simple things like IEC14-GPO aren't in the
vending machine however nextdc do have them, but can't sell you them
because of lag to do with price lists updates.

I doubt SFP's will ever be in there as the cost would be quite large.

The vending machine in B1 is definitely there and anyone at NextDC will
help you with a purchase. Just ask. Let me honest in saying NextDC is trail
blazing here, if this your only complaint then they must be doing well.

Beats Fujitsu hand down any day of the week.

toured M1 not long ago and noticed it wasn't still there!

I was simply shocked and embarrassed.

How long have these vending machines been talked about? At NextDC M1
since 2012 - they have never been seen. It is a bit of an insider joke by
now. When there are tours you sometimes hear folks asking and the sales
guys are still claiming that they will be here soon.

    Sorry to bother you all.

Just a quick one, does the NextDC vending machine in nth Ryde have any
SFP's , namely the 1000base-lx/lh S for a Cisco router?

 Sorry for the disruption.
