Personally I'd like to see that report as well.

And in the meantime I'd like to know why the previous Government didn't seek a similar report before embarking on the most expensive capital project in the history of our country!

I really want to see the review Turnbull does. I would like to see the difference in maintenance and operation costs between FTTN and FTTP to see just how much it costs to maintain all the powered nodes and copper. I think that would be enlightening especially if you extrapolate over the 50 - 70 year lifespan you get out of a full fibre deployment.

So who pays the interest Nick?

The interest is paid by the government (ie Australia as a nation) in the short term, but there is a planned complete return on investment (including interest paid) inside of ~30 years.
