[AusNOG] GoodBye NBN

I'm in Auckland these days, and have FTTN. 40/10meg vdsl2. When we were 
house hunting, I checked out every house on the Chorus network map to 
see if it was VDSL capable. This house looked rather close to a FTTN 
cabinet, however by the look of my attenuation figures, my line takes 
the scenic route. I'm 400m from the cabinet but have 12dB attenuation - 
suggesting my line goes the wrong way down my street to reach the 
cabinet a couple of streets away.

Of course, the government here realised what a mistake it was, and is 
now rolling out FTTH over the top of it...
