Co-located with the RIPE 67 meeting, the IPv6 Observatory is organizing a
workshop aimed at assessing the actual status of the IPv6 deployment to
compare what has been done in Europe to other regions of the world and
prepare next steps at the EU level.
The IPv6 observatory is a study funded by the European Commission that aims
at monitoring the deployment of IPv6 at a worldwide level. After almost two
years, the studys team has collected a huge amount of data through a wide
set of indicators, either using its custom tool v6DEMON or existing
monitoring sources which facilitate the drawing on an IPv6 deployment
status.
Following talks will be given:
Fabrice Clari (inno TSD): IPv6 Observatory: presentation of final results
Franck Le Gall (inno TSD): Global IPv6 Deployment Monitoring Survey 2013:
analysis and trends
Emile Aben (RIPE NCC): RIPE NCC IPv6 Measurements
Davey Song (BII-China): IPv6 deployment in the APNIC region
Mark Townsley (Cisco): Cisco 6lab: IPv6 deployment metrics and other
experiments
Jaromir Talir (GEN6 project): Monitoring IPv6 at the government level
This workshop follows the one which was held in January 2013 in Brussels on
the topic of IPv6 deployment at national level (IPv6 at GOV).
The event will be live-streamed from the RIPE67 meeting - Athens.
Once registered, you will receive your personal link to connect to the
webinar session.
